{Yummy}

A lot of these recipes are tried-and-true family recipes.  There will also be some recipes that I found on Pinterest or online that turned out to be really good!

Sweet Grandma's Sugar Cookies

Design your own pasta casserole.

I saw this recipe on the Food Network website.   â€‹I am okay with anything that involves noodles and cheese, so I thought I would give it a try.  Turned out delicious!

Cream Cheese and Raspberry Coffee Cake

Super Bowl Rice Krispies! 2013

Make your normal Rice Krispie Treats but add green food coloring, use white chocolate for the yard-lines, and find the right color of gum drops for your teams!

This is another recipe that I found on the Food Network website.  This is also really good with canned chicken instead of the tuna; I discovered this when I was in a hurry and grabbed the chicken instead of the tuna.

Take this to any event and I guarantee you will be asked to bring it back every time!  The trick is finding the correct jelly.

2 packeges of cream cheese

1 lg or 1.5 med.  jalapeños, finely chopped and seeded

1/4  cup green onions

1.5 tbl hot pepper peach jelly

1 tsp cyanne pepper

Mix together, use spatula to form into ball, put on serving tray, cover in shredded parmesan cheese, and serve with wheat thins.

Cranberry Pomegranate Winter Sangria

This is a recipe that I found on Pinterest.  I made these for our christmas party; along with frosted krispie wreaths.  These won't be everyone's favorite; but those who love turtles will love these!

Chocolate Turtle Cookies

This is one of our yummy family recepies that everyone will ask you to bring to get-togethers. Most people should have these ingredients at home; use whatever jelly you have.

1  8oz package of softened cream cheese     1 tsp   baking powder

1  cup of sugar                                              1/2 tsp baking soda

1/2  cup butter                                              1/2 tsp vanilla

1 3/4 cup flour                                              1/4 tsp salt

2  eggs                                                          1 cup raspberry jelly

1/4 cup milk                                                  Powdered Sugar

Beat cream cheese, sugar, and butter until fluffy.  Add half of the flour, all of the milk, baking powder, baking soda, vanilla, and salt; beat until well blended.  Beat the remaining flour on low speed until well mixed.  Spread batter  in a greased and floured 13x9x2-in baking pan.  Place dollops of jelly evenly on top of the batter and use a knife to spread the jelly throughout the dough. Bake on 350 for about 20 minutes and top with powdered sugar.

Birds nest Scotcharoos for Easter!

A creative touch on a classic favorite.
Scotch-a-roo Recipe:

1 cup of corn syrup                             Icing:

1 cup of sugar                                    1/2 bag of milk chocolate

*Boil until transparent*                      chips

1 cup of peanut butter                        1/2 bag of butterscotch

6 cups of rice krispie cereal                  chips

___________________

Boil the corn syrup and sugar in a sauce pan until transparent, add the peanut butter and mix until smooth.  Poor the rice krispies into a large bowl and add mixture and stir until the cereal is covered evenly.  Poor into pan and smash flat with hands (put butter on your hands so that it doesn't stick to your hands and burn you!) after letting the krispies cool for a bit, poor the icing on top and spread with spatula.  Refrigerate until icing is hard.

Easter Version - instead of pouring the cereal mixture into a large pan, use a spoon to fill a cupcake pan or 2 :)

To make the "grass", use white chocolate, GEL food coloring (will harden if you use normal coloring) and a piping bag (or a zip lock baggie if you dont have piping bags) and make a dot and pull up on the bag to make pointy looking grass.

I also made this sangria for our Christmas party.  The key is to let it sit long enough for all of the flavors to release.  If your party is in the afternoon, prepare your sangria in the morning.

Such an easy, fun, and cheap lunch or dinner.  You get to customize your own mini pizza or make a large pizza for the whole fam!  My husband and I usually make one pizza but split the pizza down the middle and customize it.  This can be a fun meal to let your kids help you with.

-1 package of Jiffy pizza crust mix.

-1/2 cup warm water

-1 cup of pizza sauce (or 8 oz. tomatoes sauce, 1/2 tsp. oregano, and1/2 tsp. garlic powder)

-Toppings of your choice

Preheat oven to 425 and grease your pan.  Add warm water to the package of Jiffy mix, stir until moistened, cover and let stand for 5 minutes.  Knead the dough several times and (with greased fingers) knead dough into greased pie pan.  Add pizza sauce, toppings, and then mozzarella cheese to finish it off.

Bake 18-20 minutes or until golden brown.

Always a party favorite! If you have run out of time to make food for a party but still want to bring something impressive... bring a veggie pizza and create a design that looks like it took all afternoon!

- 2 pkg.  crescent rolls (8 oz)

(Anything but butter flavor)

- 1 c.  sour cream

- 2 pkg. cream cheese (8 oz.)

- 1 ranch packet

- 1 c. shredded cheddar cheese

- Veggies of your choice!

Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease your pan.  Roll out the crescent rolls into your pan. Bake crescent rolls 10-15 minutes or until golden brown.

Meanwhile, mix sour cream, cream cheese, and ranch packet.  Cut up your veggies and plan your design.

I am not sure if this makes the difference I think it does, but I will pack down the baked crescent rolls with a spatula so that they are sturdy and stay intact while serving.  Let crescent rolls cool before applying ranch mix. (I am impatient so I put them in the fridge for about 10 minutes)

Once cool, use a rubber spatula to spread the ranch mix evenly, add your veggies, and top with cheese!

Veggie Pizza

(Picture - 4th of July party!)

This is my favorite soup; homemade or "professional" !

- 2 lb. Italian sausage   - 1 1/2 c. zucchini

- 1 c. onion                    - 4 oz. tortellini

- 2 cloves garlic               (3 cheese)

- 3 cans beef broth        - 1 med. green

- 2 cups water                 bell pepper

- 1/2 c. red wine (or water)    - 1 c. carrots

- 2 - 16 oz. can tomatoes - 3 c. V8 juice

- 3 tbl. fresh parsley       - 1/2 tsp oregano

- 1/2 tsp. basil leaf

- 3 - 8oz tomato sauce

I don’t have official instructions for this recipe.  So, here is what I do... set the zucchini and the tortellini to the side; they will be added last. While you are cooking the Italian sausage, add all of the liquid ingredients to a large pot and heat on high.. Chop all of the remaining herbs and veggies and add them to the pot. Add the sausage once cooked and heat on med for 45 min to 1 hour.

45 minutes before you serve the soup, you will add the chopped zucchini and tortellini and heat on med/high.  Let the soup cool for about 10 minutes and serve!
