{Making our home our own}
I have been dreaming of designing my own home for many years. When my husband and I bought our first home this page had a lot of pictures! I am happy to say I have turned a lot of these pictures into reality on my MY HOME PROJECTS page! We love our home and are excited to continue to make it our own. Being an educator, I get summer off to do home projects. Summer can never come fast enough; I am excited to get started on these projects!

Before moving into our home, I never knew that I liked the rustic look so much. This chandelier really excites me and I cant wait to start this project!
I will never turn down another filing cabinet!
I can't wait to reupholster this 70's wing backed chair I found at an estate sale. I am still kicking myself for not getting the pair. :I
This will happen!!
Our dining room could use some character. This would definitely take some time, but it is do-able. I plan on doing this in our dining room, and maybe up our stair case.
My bathroom looks similar to the picture on the left right now. If I can convince my husband to let me paint the cabinets white, the picture on the right is very possible!
Love! Handscraped, Siena Hickory, alternating width, hardwood flooring.
My mom gave us a coffee table similar to this one. My plan is to find a thick, large pattern, Moroccan material to cover the top and paint the legs a light gray or white.
This is my Large "print", thick, beveled edges, Moroccan tile that I keep talking about; I finally ordered a sample. You can find something similar to this in local stores, but the tiles will be smaller and flat. This is too expensive for me to do now, but who says I can't just look at my sample everyday until I can :)
We have a light fixture in our dining room that looks like the "before" fixture. I plan on getting rid of it and replacing it with the mason jar chandelier I have also posted. Now, I can reuse the ugly fixture and make a chandelier for our guest room!!
GREAT idea! Never again would I have to get out and put away...plug and unplug my dryer and straightener! Now I just need to get my dad or my brother here to work this out!
I have looked for knobs like these and have had a hard time finding them. Its the little details that make a house a home!
This has been on my "to-do" this for awhile. I need to search clearance isles, rummage through my moms storage room, or grab a 50% off coupon for the large frame. Hobby Lobby will have their door knobs on sale every few weeks, and i am sure I already have some fabric for inside the frame.
I plan on doing this in my Master Bedroom; framing the TV on the wall leaving the dresser for decoration. I have a large "B" that I plan on either covering with yarn or distressing and I already have some vases that would look good.
We would love to put built-ins surrounding our fireplace! The only question is, should we do floor to ceiling or something like this??
